What's cooking??

Just another day.

3 more days before Uni starts again. Dread starting a new
semester when I'm not even really bored with my holidays yet. I'm not doing anything yet! Help!! While waiting for the Naruto anime to finish downloading, I realised that I haven't touch this blog for quite a while. Damn.. I always forgot about my blog especially when I'm in a good mood. Haha.. Anyway, got my results on 20th Dec. What's today's date again anyway? Oh, 22nd Dec. I'm still not proficient in memorising dates ever since I dumped it after SPM. What could I do to help it? Alright, back to my results. Went to have a look at the cert and perhaps this is the one of the best certs I ever had. Alright, it might not be good for some of you, but what matters is myself. Hehe.. A CGPA of exactly 3.50. Here's the breakdown:
.
Cellular Biomolecules : A-
Body Tissue : B+
Human Genetics : A-
Membrane and Receptor : B+
Clinical Skill : B+
PPD : A-
Persatuan Pelajar : A
Tamadun ISLAM(TITAS) : A
.
The CGPA is counted based on the first 6, and cool huh? 3A- and 3B+.
A real balanced results. Of course, that is still the the ultimate, of whether 6A- or 6B+. But it's still lucky to get a ratio of 3:3. This means my marks are quite average, lying within the 70-80 marks range. Good enough to gage myself anyway. At last there's a cert with some "flower" marks on it, cause this is the first time ever that I had really studied my cert grades. Reason? You don't need to look carefully if it's all A's. Muahaha.. Now that's something. Perhaps the sweetest ones were the last two papers. A for subjects that I'd taken just a few days to study. 6 month's subject, 3 days study maybe? Maybe I should try it with my other modules. n_n" Just kidding, I don't dare to fail yet. Well, maybe other's also got A for both the subjects. Hehe.. So this means I don't need to masuk ISLAM like Jean Jean dare me to. -.-" And to Ping Ling: No, marrying 4 is still not enough, so ISLAM is not a favorable option. So, that's all for the first semester. Nothing more, nothing less. Just glad.
Oh ya, by the way, I'm looking forward to driving to campus.
Seems that I'd made up my mind. At least I gain back my LIFE when I'm home. I'm being more receptive to the surrounding. Staying in hostel means travelling to and fro campus and hostel and nowhere else. At least, I still get to go Carrefour, Jusco, or anywhere else when I had my car. Just missed the TARC days when I get to drive alone here and there exploring different places. Hehe.. All right, I guess that's all for now. I need to fix the downloading erroron the Naruto file. It seems to stuck at 99.9%. Lolz. Until then, we shall meet again.

Well, a week and half has passed for my holidays. 1 week
left. Ewh.. how I wish it'll be longer. But then again, I'll be staying at home, letting boredom eating up me bit by bit. Gosh, what had I done? Nothing. Whenever my coursemates asked me what had I done during the holidays, I just love to answer them with, " Just the usual, now studying the 2nd module of next sem." I just feel like looking at their expression when they saw that popping up in their MSN message. Haha.. Only if I'm that hardworking. The fact is, I'm still sane, so that would not be possible, at least for now. As I've said, by the time I manage to graduate, I won't be a doc, but a dog. Lolz.. n_n" Life's kinda boring by the time you reach 20. Or maybe the start of fun. It just depends on what do you intend to pursue in life. I'll be glad just to open a restaurant or a trader shop. Maybe not, perhaps enter politics, but it's just so sull of monkeys and baboons that it made me turn off. Politics is actually fun, even with a bit of dirty tricks up the sleeve. But in Malaysia? I think I should just go visit Zoo Negara, which I think will be more civilised in Malaysia. Mind the Mat Rempit publicity by the politicians, upholding them as a Malay culture when it's really not. What? Trying to gain votes? My grandmum can do better than that. And the politicians especially in MCA? The fresh blood are of no use, barking more often than really doing something for the society. But then again, I respect Dato' Seri Ong Ka Ting, as he's going the right track, right policy. It's just that the 'fresh' blood are actually stale. What's else with the opposition? They are just equals in attitude, lacking fresh blood too. How many politicians' sons aspiring to be politicians and rose up the ranks because of their fathers? It's the matter of stale blood again. Just a pathetic bunch of people fighting in the parliament over RM1 deduction in allowances? They should put it in the joke book, man. Malaysia is a haven, but given such condition, it will deteriorate sooner or later. Corruption, favoritism, inefficiency and mammalian primates dominate politics in Malaysia. When would it ever change? When will the next true leader rise? One every century? The cycle is a long one. And here we are, watching the era of the last capable leaders to end in perhaps, 10-20 years. God bless Malaysia, if HE must.

Back to myself, I think I've nothing to write. Got a blogger's
block. Life ain't easy to pen down ideas. MAybe I'll just enjoy life as it is. n_n

Sunday Blues

Up and dull this morning. I was in the midst of a meaningful dream, some kind of 'vision' again. As the meaning of it soo to be unravelled, the sound of my handphone(miss call) woke me up. Just a bit more, damn. Try to doze off again and continue, but what's the point? What's gone is gone. Downloaded Richard Marx's greatest hits, so his songs are playing at the background, setting the mood for blogging. Yeap, mostly love songs. I don't know why, but I'd the knack for love songs even before I even started one at all. All these breakup blues stirred up by those songs even before I even had one. Each song reminds me of any one part of the past. Nolstagic. Sadness. Happiness. Excitement. Disappointment. Dejection. Motivation. Determination. Enlightenment. Sometimes, I just hold on the past, when I know that the future is wailing for my attention. Maybe that is me. Just me. Or perhaps, just unlike me, others would say. I just won't take any more chance. Be with it. Sometimes, as we reflect, the life of Uni isn't that stressful. It is what that awaits us in the real world. Are you ready for it?

Nothing to do, so fill in some ads here again. -.-"

You Are 50% Boyish and 50% Girlish

You are pretty evenly split down the middle - a total eunuch.
Okay, kidding about the eunuch part. But you do get along with both sexes.
You reject traditional gender roles. However, you don't actively fight them.
You're just you. You don't try to be what people expect you to be.

Your Seduction Style: Sweet Talker

Your seduction technique can be summed up with "charm"
You know that if you have the chance to talk to someone...
Well, you won't be talking for long! ;-)

You're great at telling potential lovers what they want to hear.
Partially, because you're a great reflective listener and good at complementing.
The other part of your formula? Focusing your conversation completely on the other person.

Your "sweet talking" ways have taken you far in romance - and in life.
You can finess your way through any difficult situation, with a smile on your face.
Speeding tickets, job interviews... bring it on! You truly live a *charmed life*

Exam's over! Went to 1 Utama yesterday with 9 girls,
and mind you, I'm still a male. Was so so tired after a whole day out of house. Went for OSPE in the morning, and came back home around 1am. Overall, it's quite enjoyable. Now I know why Wai Sun would like to go there window shopping, but I still can't stand it if I go there everyday, because there's no arcade there. -.-" By the way, the girls were supposed to surprise Jean Jean with the Mocha cake they bought for her be-earlierd birthday, and even make Alex to come down. Haha.. Bet Jean Jean might have doze off waiting for the 'surprise'. I didn't join them because I don't want to get demerit for coming back late at the hostel at 12.30am. You think? Just kidding. I don't even have enough merit points to be deducted. It needs at least the sum of merit points of 10 people like me to have at least a chance to fight for a place in KT1. That's why I compete for another merit, to stay at home. Keke.. Just don't want to reach home too late.

By the way, since the exam is totally over, here's the review of the exams I'd taken.

Monday, 27th Nov '06: Cellular Biomolecules (9-11am)
A paper with moderate difficulty. That is my impression. I might not know how to do all, but at least I know what the question wants. The only obstacle is the time factor, with 45 objectives (One best answer and Extended matching items) plus 3 essays to be done in 2 hours. Good for me, because I crap without thinking, so I barely finish in time.

Tuesday, 28th Nov '06: Body Tissue (9-11am) and Personal and Professional Development (2.30-3.30pm)
The body tissue really kill me, although the objectives were moderate, the essay questions were ambigious, there goes my crapping again. Some questions are too wide and less marks, so we do not now how much to write. -.-" In the end, I barely finish on time too.
PPD was the easiest paper I've ever seen. We finish everything in half an hour, although I sat there for another half. Straightforward questions, either you know or do not know, or just use your common sense.

Wednesday, 29th Nov 'o6: Membrane and Receptors(9-11am)
This is one of the most challenging paper so far. To me, it's quite tricky, and I was having a 'great' time over the questions and essays. But, everything is still manageable and answerable, although whether it is right or wrong is another issue.

Thursday, 30th Nov '06: Human Genetics (9-11am) and Tamadun Islam dan Tamadun Asia (2.30-3.45pm)
Genetics is my favourite subject, and the one staying the freshest in my mind. Should have no problem if I didn't do any careless mistakes in the objectives. The essay questions were from past year, although I didn't really prepare for it, unless you mean flipping through the pages is. The 'best' thing I got was sitting beside Jean Jean. I was laughing at Jo Ee because he said he felt pressured by Jean Jean, Stella and Soon Hooi for the first 2 papers as they were clustered together, and I got a 'feel' of one of it in the end. -.-"
TITAS was even better, after reading so much, it's still down to the guessing game. So many Betul and salah to darken the circles. 60 questions, 5 choices each from A-E, and we have to andwer betul or salah for each choice. That makes 300! If you're correct, add 1 mark, wrong, minus 1 mark. Don't answer and it's neutral. After 45 minutes, the answer sheet is full of dark circles. It's just like a Southern blotting of RFLPs. -.-" Since Dekan came out of the hall already, the ketua jabatan including me went out as well.

5th Nov '06: OSPE (Lab practical)
One of the worst day of my life. After so much hardwork (a few days) looking at the slides and Histology book, I still couldn't figure out was was the thing they were asking me on the slide. The magnification was different from what I'd expected, cause it's too small and hard to see. We used to focus more, and this is such al et down. Could only identify about 2-3 slides out of 10, and the rest are pure crap. Just hope to score points on the characteristics. They could even ask things that we didn't know that we had to learn! That's fine for me for module papers, but histo? If you are able to memorise eveything, you might as well transfer to the 3rd year next sem. Biomolecules wasn't really hard, just that I didn't focus on the principles, hence crap, crap and crap. The best thing, I think I did badly for my PPD and Clinical Skill. I didn't do what the rest did. I didn't ask the 'girl' in PPD OSPE what was her ambition. And I didn't even offer a seat to the 'patient' in CS. How would I know actually, because that is not my place and I'm not sure whether to offer a seat or not? After gruelling questions in OPSe slides and the rest, was quite blur already. Going to get an egg for both. Haiz.. Really really sad. Wonder how could I overcome this. It really knock ot my confidence. For the first time, I really really had the feeling of LOSING! The heart just doesn't feel nice, aching every now and then Perhaps this is the best 'kick' I had in the course so far. The first I had. The first kiss of death after a long time when I couldn't even remember my last one before this. perhaps this is a good lesson for me. Maybe it's time to really work hard.
