What's cooking??

Another day gone by

Well, been staying at home whole day concentrating to study,
but still, E-ming will always find a way to escape from such torture. Browse through many blogs, and found one that had describe some memories from the past. Guess I'm bit tad too old for everything. I do miss the days when we were young and innocent. Foolishness dominates as we steered through life, before we become wise. Until that day, we would always still be fools. Happy fools. No one cares. Carefree. Whatever you call it. For wise men were fools before they turned wise. But memories will always be memories. How I had wish I would still be in my secondary years, having puppy love at a much younger age, when I'd forgone countless, perhaps, because I chicked out? Only me myself will know. Call me a person who wouldn't dive into anything headfirst. Otherwise my head will crack. n_n Think I threw away the 'superman' cape and the mask I made for the bunny, but I guess, maybe, one day, I'll pick up the habit when I got too stressed out studying. Haha.. Here's the post dated 22nd April 2007 that I'd read on Y Sun's blog. A bit more description of "The Funny Bunny and I".

My Bunny

Perhaps, everyone is accustomed to things like descriptive
writing. We all begin our education in language at such, so that we could knpw how to describe something that we will be seeing in the future. Don't worry, this ain't the "Hare and the tortoise" story, but just a writing practice of something that I had forgo long time ago.

Everyone has a favourite pet, at least. Or a hobby which had
become their childhood companion, be it Barbie dolls, Transformers, Power Rangers, Ultraman, books, or whatsoever. And me? I have a bunny. A bunny that had accompanied me through my upper secondary years, being with me side by side, whenever I need him. Even till now, I would grin whenever I am reminded of the days with him.

It was really love at first sight. There's only a few things in
my life that I would have such feeling for. The moment I saw him, I knew he would be my companion for life, or at least, a few years I guess. He had yellow fur, and sparkling eyes. I stared intently into his pair of hopeful eyes, and guess what? I saw the reflection of me!! Haha... Thus, I had begged my mom to let me keep him. She agreed. I was 16.

Day and night, he was by my side. He never complained
or tried to upset me. He was a really good listener, to an extent that I could share my secrets with him, and he'll just look at me, keeping his silence. I even brought him to school, although I know that I would attract many wanted and unwanted attention. He somehow became my tool of flirt, for it gave me some initiative to start up a conversation. Thus, I went through many such encounters with him by my side. During tests, I would play with him when I'm finished and the clock is still ticking. Those were the days when we can't leave when we have finished our paper. The only time I was disallowed to bring him with me was during my SPM exam. Boy, I was real sad. Really miss him when he wasn't there.

When I was burning the midnight oil, he was there to
give suppport. Whenever he's bored, I'll sneak over and give him a cuddle. During study break, I would sew some clothes for him. Some shirts, pants, a cape as well as a mask. My Living Skills weren't wasted afterall. At least it's something wearable!! At least he's being kept snuggle warm at night. Every now and then, he's also my "Playboy" mascot. Not many knew afterall, except for a few close friends.

But after years now. He has become old. His fur are
no longer shiny and smooth. It's dirty too because I haven't bath him for a long time. Perhaps I have been too busy to notice him. I wonder what should I do to him now. Perhaps, one day, he would rest in peace in the storeroom. God bless. And thank you for being with me for all these years and not leaving me. Friends forever. Our memories shall be engraved in my heart. If G*d has to set a limit on the time we would be together, let it be a hundred thousand years.

POSTED!!

Today, I am bit happy. No, haven't been study for the
day. Flipped through the The Star and saw my article being published!! No money in it, just a sense of satisfaction. I know my English ain't that good, but after going through some editing by the editor, it looks roughly the same though. The message is sent across. A short simple one to make my mark on the paper. Nothing to prove, just myself to please. Uh oh, I'm so egoistic. But doesn't really matter. I'm happy, that'll do fine with me. Always thought of being a writer, but guess my skills are always damn rusty. No mortal thing can sharpen the tip of my pen. Dang.. Whatever.. Anyway, here's the link of the article below here. Just read if you have the free time.

Call it a day

6.30am: Woke up with a dizzy head. The world is spinning, but how could I miss such a day? Another typical day of a medical student.

Jalan Pahang heading towards Bulatan Pahang

7.25am: Depart from house. The voice of MixFM deejays are filling the car occasionally along with the music just for the kickstart.

KLCC view

Denda RM500 sign

7.45am: Reached Chow Kit area. Looked around as the city is filled with people buzzing around, going for work. Cross the road right under the 'No jaywalking' sign. Such typical of an illiterate medical student who had forgotten how to read basic English.

GHKL

Dental Polyclinic

7.50am: Passed through many areas, even the UKM dental polyclinic. Wonder when will I see the dentist? I had a tooth abscess, but still made no effort to make an appointment. Self-containing the infection with my 'own' procedure. Sigh, maybe that's why I'd never be a dentist. I can't even take good care of my own teeth.

The exam hall on the right. Just one floor hanging on the air. Call it the "Hanging Exam Hall", the 7 wonders.. n_n"

Mugging for 'Medicine and Society' mini test outside the lab

Monkey see, monkey does. Everyone reading in T1BE hall.

7.55am: Reached T1BE hall. The labs weren't opened yet, so those freaking medical students are waiting outside, most of them mugging for the day's Medicine and Society Minitest. Me? I'd given up. Who cares. Not really me.

The OMR paper

8.15am: The OMR paper is in front of me. Time for me to start. Good Luck. I will definitely need it.

8.45am: Discussion starts. Got 12 out of 20. Not bad, at least still pass. The ambiguity causes multiple mistakes. Own mistakes? Maybe just 2 or 3. But doesn't really matter, not much marks there.

9.30am: In T1BE hall flipping through PBL notes. Preparing for presentation later. At least should be well prepared. But, considering this is the second last PBL for the semester, I wonder who will be my next PBL mates for next semester. Just when I could settle down with my current PBL mates.. Dang!

10.30am: PBL starts. Not much things to discuss. An intertrochanteric fracture, going through the anatomy of the hip joints along with causes of hip pain. Investigation, examination, and management comes later. Other than that, it is quite uneventful. Finish around 12pm, quite early for a typical 2 hour PBL session.

12.30pm: Heading home. It's hot inside the car. The dysfunctional air-cond will need service very soon. But I had always been procrastinating. What to do?

Maggie Mee on bacon on egg? -.-"

Final product - Smile of the Sun

2.00pm: Finish preparing a 20-mins lunch. What a typical Maggi mee ugliness of a guy. As long as it's edible. That is what I care the most.

2.30pm: Starts to blog on the computer, relating today's uneventful events. Still have to revise on previous lectures. Can't believe I have gone through so much in this module. Chill. Tomorrow's PC Fair. Perhaps, I will take the day off. Perhaps....

Blank Stuff

It's always like this. Ever felt like you have so much to blog,
to rant, to comment on the worldly, holy, or anything, only to found yourself stuck in front of the monitor with nothing to say? I don't know what is it called, but do tell me if you had known the diagnosis. I figured life must be tough if such things happen to writers who use this as their source of "roti". So what had u expect from a noob like me? It's just merely a thought. No offence though, although I can be good at offending people too. That's just so like me, craving to be at two opposite ends that could build a charisma no one ever had, like Dr Jackal(4got how it's spelt) and Mr Hyde. The healing hands could also be killing hands. Uh oh.. What a sinister thought. So, beware and be nice to me, I might be a doctor someday. The title of the group I ciplak from Facebook.

Arrggh.. That's all for now, my mind is real blank. God bless me...

Ooh, nothing feels better than starting a new blog entry. Something new to
write and say. But as my fingers dance across the keyboard, it leaves trails of idiocracy behind. But, it will only end when I feel it deem. My tiny fingers could not stop the habit of blogging, although the mind had already ran out of ideas. So, here we go!
Been to the dissection hall today. Or you can call it
"Bilik Diseksi" in BM.. The 4th time for the past 2 weeks. The cadaver ain't looking that good, for since the the 3rd session, they only leave the body parts which we need to study carefully. So, they butcher the thigh part for today's lower limb practical, for identifying muscles. Since there's so many of us, we are divided into 2 different sessions, with Group C & D at 9.3 0am and Group A & B at 10.30am. Since I'm in group 5, so I started later. It's not really much of a difference because all of them looks the same to me, with the brownish tone of arteries, veins, muscles and nerves. The smell of the cadaver is not that offensive anymore, either I'm immune or the ventilation in the hall got better. Managed not to touch the cadaver, for I'm lazy to buy a pair of surgical gloves and to wash my hands later. Manage to look through a bit, because the time does not really suffice the requirement to digest all the information. Could just hope that the different parts are colored like some anatomy books, green, blue, yellow, etc. Then I can differentiate them. No cameras allowed inside, so I did not take any photos. We have to respect the dead. Amen. I promised to study those anatomy when I'm in the mood, of course.

Just got results of the module assessment for last module
yesterday. Was right outside my PBL room, right after PBL. It's just the usual like secondary school's monthly test. Got an A, as do many people(Around 39). Did not celebrate because the paper could not really reflect our capabilities. It's just a simple objective paper with around 25 questions which were rather straightforward. It's either you know or do not know. And that's not my aim anyway. I just want a pass. For the stats, I will just keep it in mind, for I know I still have a high chance to flunk all my exams because I had been slacking much this semester after coming back home. n_n"

Had to form a PPD group cheer with group 8.
Became "Gerhana" and had a lame cheer. But something is always better than nothing. Duh.. Going to do it on Monday, so lotsa luck is needed. By now, there's nothing much to say. So let's have a summary of what I've done that people didn't know.

1. Been buying a few Sony-Ericsson HPM-70 earphones, genuine and OEM. My obsession is going to go out of hand if I don't control it and there's e-bay to help me. Think I'm going to sell it off if anybody wants.

2. Helped Calvin Woon buy some medical books and printer cartridges. Even send it by air to him for his gf and friends. It's RM1k+, so let's just hope the postage will be fine because I haven't receive any payment. Better not play play, if I die sure bring them with me. Muahaha...

3. Too much things to study for this 4 and half weeks' module. Covering Upper Limb, Lower Limb, Muscles of the Back, and the bones. Otherwise it wouldn't be called "Musculoskeletal" module. This weekend is to complete Lower Limb osteology and muscles, arches of the foot, Nerve lesion of lower limbs, Medicine and Society's lectures for next mini test, Persatuan Pelajar's notes compilation, Hubungan Etnik half a book to go. (Persatuan Pelajar and Hubungan etnik exam is due in 2 weeks time along with musculoskeletal assessment. Dang. One thing at a time. So, perhaps, I should start by going offline now. Bye....

Rejuvenation

At last, I smacked my way into rojack's spaces. Hmm.. that
sounds nicer. It seems like ages since he ever blogged. Perhaps it's called a blogger's block. But the rest was good for him. He sounds better now. Erhem, I mean better than before, so it's just a relative term. But then again, those writings reminded me of the glorious days of the might of our pens(Mind you, it's not a typo error, there is definitely no "i" between the 'n' and 's'). Yes, we do not have powerful bombastic English to support us, but what we lack in brain matter, we made up in wits. The neverending flow of creativity popping up here and there makes the group of us, the nuts.

So, that makes me wondering, does our mind stop growing
with time, or because we refuse to let it grow. Could it be that, what we are facing now in our courses are impeding the thrust of our willpower towards our dreams? Questions unanswered, that is the way of life. And the list continues on and on. I might have lost most of my flair, but my eyes never fails me. "Do not judge, and thou shall not be judged." These words are still fresh in my mind, for perhaps I am the anti- of it. The eyes of judgment, be it a curse or a blessing, will always be stuck with me, unless I get a chopstick and try poking it. The lack of true creativity is eminent around me, for perhaps it is something discarded long time ago in pursuit of their bewildered dreams. Have I not follow the same path? Why did I not choose the path less taken?

And yet, all of us know that our destinies are predestined
by our ambitions. We are the invisible force causing the swirl in life. Given more time, the swirls that grew in sync shall turn into a hurricane, marking its ultimate presence. And of course, those hurricanes are named after females, and we all know why. Both can be disasterous.

The conclusion? There ain't any conclusion in life. You
conclude when you end up in the gates of heaven, or hell perhaps. (Though I prefer reincarnation.) Let us all ponder upon this for a while, reflecting our deeds in our life, and.....

Sleep.

It's already 2am in the morning. Class at 8 tomorrow.
Wish me luck. Before this, I would like to come up with a spontaneous poem. Don't read if you don't like, and I advise you never ever come here again.

The drips of the ocean,
Flow from the river of aeons,
The bubbles of the sky,
Lands from the mountain high.

I ponder upon mankind,
Waiting for death in line,
Life is just like a flicker of flame,
Unused, we had no one to blame.

The wonders of life surround us,
But blinded as if we were cursed,
Cos our lives are one hell lot of mess,
With despair, sadness, loneliness.

The wind whispered into my ears,
And my cheeks were rolling with tears,
The message was full of serenity,
And I am rejuvenated with dignity.
