I've been missing in action for lots of activities for the past 2 weeks. O&G is kind of hectic compared to Surgery posting. In surgery, we chose not to be hardworking. There was an option. In O&G, there weren't any option after all. We HAD to be hardworking. We work our a$$ off here and there, trying to deliver babies when we would have the opportunity. Hands-on training were too much, such that the sense of involvement seems much more than Surgery, where the surgeons are too busy to be bothered by you most of the time.
Well, we do learn a lot from O&G, making us felt that we had not learned anything in Surgery. Most of the time, we got lost in Surgery posting wondering what to do. In O&G, we're just wondering what to do 1st. There's so many things at hands to juggle. The initial stage is rather hard for us, making us the marathon runner over all the postings in the past, present and future. Just when you settle down and got quite comfortable in a posting, you are sent to another whole new environment to struggle and learn as much as you can. It felt as if we were kept thrown into the middle of the sea once we manage to swim ashore. It truly is the test of the perseverance, and definitely not of any IQ.

Whatever happens, happens for a reason. I just hope to pass my exams. There's no more kiasuness available. Total nil. Even if you have, there's no point practising it. Clinical years are similar with work reality. The successful may not be the top. That's rather ironic. Well, there could be some exceptions, but it ain't gonna be me. I'm just glad to be get into the normal distribution. God bless.
