What's cooking??

Internet Explorer Bye Bye, FireFox here I come.

I've been a favorite fan of Internet Explorer as it was the first web browser that I used. Unfortunately, it kept disappointing me, being super slow when I browse the web. In the end, I've converted to Firefox 2-3 years ago. Of course, it's good cos less pop-up, bla-bla and faster loading time compared to IE. With the new feature of new tabs in Firefox, I like it very much. Until I reformatted my Windows and had a new IE version which had similar functions. Since they looks equal, I'd preferred the old one then. So I used IE for few months with swift uploading time. Within 2 months, it become slow again. I thought it was cookies issue, but it still won't work!! So, a disappointed me changed back to Firefox.

Yet, there are sometimes disappointment with Firefox too. Some Malaysians lousy website does not work well with Firefox. And I'm not sure what's the standard browser for Firefox, as I have 2 different version of it in my PC and my laptop. The one that comes with Google toolbar seems to come with Page Rank function in my lappie. Plus, MSN force us to use IE if we are to go to the mailbox via MSN messenger. Evil!!! So, guess I'll just put it in cold storage. Hmpph...

So the morale of the story is:
Convert to Firefox if you haven't do so!! The Fox is kinda cute!!

Looks like I'm doing advertising again here. -.-"
Why am I not paid? Zzzz...

Happy Moments

Guess there's nothing special indeed about Valentine. No one truly bothers or appreciate its true meaning. But who cares? I just want to make it special! *Wink*

It's just a hand bouquet. Two-toned pink. Nuff said.
There's nothing sweeter than looking at the happy face of the person at the receiving end. *wink*

And yes, I love the meaning of this picture by Google. It's just plain sweet, and it depicts what true love truly is. It's not just about flowers or presents lavished on your loved ones, but to remain ever loving or even more as both of you withstood against time and obstacles in life. I admit that I have not reach that level yet (still too young), but I would really try my best. I just want her to be happy, and I'll be happy too!

The Happiest Smile

Although I do see my dear almost everyday, I still do call her at night, just to make sure she's alright. But the handphone bill is kind of costly. I had wish to change to Happy, but it's just so hard to get one. Maybe I'll get one soon, and I'll be able to make phone calls at cheap rates. Then we'll be able to save more for our future plans! *wink* That's what being Happy is all about!!

The Happy Smile
Happy Valentine!!

Happy - Happy Moments

End of Days

Assessment on Friday and I'm dead meat. 25 lecture notes (estimated total of 375 pages => 2250 powerpoint slides) I guess I'll just have to boil them all and drink them. This is the 1st time I'm complaining here because I'm unprepared this time. Shouldn't have celebrate CNY after all. What a waste...

On a positive note, I'd tracked my blog readers to Germany, UK, and US. Just surprised, though I know some of the readers are the people I know. Still, I'm glad that my blog is international!!
Guess I'm just being delusional. Let me be. This euphoric state would not last long, I assure you. I'm hitting the Panic button soon.

Ciaoz!!

Happy Chinese New Year!!

On this auspicious day, I'm here to wish everyone a Happy Chinese New Year!! It's been a while now, and here comes a monthly update here. Sorry because I could not have been busier this semester, and hopefully I would be free in 6 weeks time, when I'd finished my 2nd year. Time has been gliding past faster than I'd imagined, and I'm enetring the 3rd year of my course. I've been lately involved in building a few blogs dedicated for technical stuff, like a for-fun-blog for AMSA and a medical piracy and shareware blog. So, I'd no intention to put it here to turn off my non-medical readers. (I know that I'm boring though) Then again, here are the links if you just wanna have a peek-a-boo.

Life could have been dull, but one got to create interesting moments out of his/her life. So, I'm planning for some Valentine's stuff, I guess. It's going to be a headache, now to think of it. I'm already out of ideas. There's nothing to worry, though because eventually, something will come into mind, I HOPE.

Recently, there's this ad of a mobile sim card by Digi named Happy. The starter pack is RM5, and they charge you 1 sen per sec up to 99 sen max. So, basically the max charge for a local call is RM0.99. They claim that it is unlimited, but they will cut off your line at the 45th minute. But then again, 45 minutes for 99 sen? It's still worth it, dude. The problem is that I had problem looking for it as they are doing more on roadshows, and their Giant Happy outlets is not always there, so this is the point where I'm not really Happy about. Hmmph.. Guess I'll work a way to find out and order online if I have to. I just like the concept of the Sim pack. A happy face and no whatsoever fine print or instructions in it. That leaves them free of any 'black and white' legal issue. Other rates are not that cheap though, with a flat rate of 10 sen per sms and 5 sen per kbs download via GPRS. (Normal SMS rate: 1 sen for Activ5/F&F, 7 sen within network, 15 sen other network; Normal GPRS rate: 0.5-1 sen per kbs) So, I'll recommend only using it for outgoing calls. -.-". Click on the link above or go to www.happy.com.my.
So here's the end after the lengthy commercial. I bet they'll have to pay me for 'advertising' their product. Haha.. So long, we shall blog again..

Time Management - An essential part of life

I've never been good with time management. Even now.
To me, being organized is like being a slave of time. I'd prefer to roam the time as freely as the eagle soaring in the sky. well, that was until lately, when time is showing its blade to me, promising to slice my head off if I had manage to slacken even a bit. So, now I'm employing a diary organizer and my new found friend PALM TX to help me in my task. I'm still in the learning stage, but I guess it's better late than never. Therefore, I'm able to fork out a bit more time for blogging.

So how's my life, you'll ask? Still fine, in a relationship,
happy and loving. Keke.. In just 3 months time, I'll be heading to Hospital UKM for my 3rd year. I can't believe that I'm almost done with the 1st 2 pre-clinical years. But then again, time is running short as I speak here. The topics in this module had been quite a challenge for me. Need to beef up for the last 2 months (8 more weeks to my end sem exam). The cadavers were never interesting, but with the current heads they are showing us in the neuroanatomy, I shake my head because I find it unneccesary. Cadavers should be buried instead of being tortured like this.

Manage to get a post in Asia Medical Student Association
(AMSA) as AJK in AMSEP department(Asia Medical Student Exchange Program). I don't know what's there to do, but I guess I'll just follow the lead. We're supposed to do something with teh 1st years within 2 months time before we leave to HUKM, so it's super hectic, and we'll really have to co-operate. With the new helm taking over, hope the organization improves. Otherwise, I'll prefer naming it H-AMSA-P. Sounds better that way, don't you think?

With the current juggle of time, I'll have to end here.
At least I had to update it once a month, otherwise someone else say I never update. That's life. Mayb I'll update more 2 months later. Until then, until then...

Wiki is Not a Bad Thing Afterall

Recently, I had this PPD project, that is, to develop a webpage. As grand as it seems, it is just 'Wiki'ing on the designated website in UKM e-learning aka Wiki Style. Nevertheless, I did some experimentation with the Wiki format. Well, it seems easy at first, but to add more pictures and tables and links, that's a bit harder. With time, it all became easy when you get the hang of it. By now, I even know how to put in a 'micro' sign(mu) in Wiki and the superscript plus subscript. What a satisfaction!

Basically, Wiki format is similar to html (because certain html format is allowed in wiki), but simpler. However, doing a research on a topic on disease is head-cracking, because we had to do it in Malay to prevent us from 'copy and paste' directly from English websites! I congratulate myself for the gallant effort to recall all the Malay terms and to google for new terms online. So, it is never a waste to retain my BM knowledge after all!

So, my topic was on Wilson'sdisease. After some research and translation, here's a so-called complete page:
