Babies are Evil!!
Forget about babies being nice. They are just plain evil. They intrude your privacy with your spouse, they demand your attention, they wake you up in the middle of the night just because they can't sleep when they are hungry, and they grow up and never seems to behave in a normal proper way. Besides, who are you to claim that you are qualified to take care of your baby? Do you have a degree on baby care?
Perhaps there are people who say this, and think this way. But aren't they a part of your life which you must cherish? Imagine the sweet smile, the cuddle you gave your baby, the satisfaction when they call mama or papa for the first time. Imagine the joy and pride you'll share with your spouse. n_n
I understand that some couples are afraid to have babies, for they think that they are not ready for it. But the question is, has anyone been ready to have babies? Do your parents have all the parenting skills when they gave birth to their 1st child especially?
No one is ever ready for such cute little miracles. That adds to the joy of surprise in life. Parents may be worried, for they would not know how to guide their children in the future. The fact that they act like "One blind leads the another blind" make things worse and add into the agony. Well, no one is perfect. The art of parenting is always learned on the job. No one can proudly acclaim that they are the most successful parents. Parents, after all, are just humans, normal humans, who are prone to make mistakes too.
So, for those future couples out there, do not be wary of having babies. Look at the bright side. Life is always sweeter that way. And for those who had always been sons and daughters, it's time to get to your parents to tell them how much you love them and give them a hug. It doesn't hurt to love another one besides your lover/spouse. Besides, you were once the cute, "evil" baby who had created enough havoc in the house for your parents.
Before I end this, I would love to quote from the Martian Child movie (a must-watch) which had been rather inspiring:
"Sometimes we forget that children have just arrived on the earth. They are a little like aliens, coming into beings as bundles of energy and pure potential, here on some exploratory mission and they are just trying to learn what it means to be human. For some reason Dennis and I reached out into the universe and found each other, Never really know how or why. And discovered that I can love an alien and he can love a creature. And thats weird enough for both of us. "
